John Taylor

Councillor John Taylor is the Chair of the Partnership. He has represented the Aber Valley on Caerffili County Borough Council since 1999. Prior to that he represented the area on the former Rhymney   Valley District Council. He is also a member of the Aber valley Community Council.   John used to work as a teacher and was the Head of the Special Education   Department in a local Comprehensive School. He is very interested in Education and   serves as Vice-Chair of the Governors of Cwmaber Junior School and is Chair of the   Governors at Cwmaber Infants School. John is also greatly involved in his Church. He   is a Deacon and Treasurer of Beulah Baptist Church, Abertridwr where he also helps   to run the Sunday Club for Children. John currently works as a press officer for Jocelyn   davies AM and Jill Evans MEP.

Ilan Washington Jones

I have lived in the valley all my life and my wife has been a teacher in the valley for the past 30 years.The valley and its community has
always played an important part in our lives.I am involved with the   Partnership as a resident and a representative from the Church in Wales.  A retired   teacher I appreciate having more time to involve myself with community work. I   welcome the opportunity to be involved with the continual development of the valley of   which I am very proud
