THE ABER VALLEY PARTNERSHIP

  Since the last Networking event the Aber Valley Partnership has gone from strength
  to strength.

  College@Abervalley

  The college at Aber Valley was officially opened on the 7th of July 2006 the college   has been working with the Education sub group to develop training courses to meet   the local residents needs.

  Aber Valley Allotments

  The allotment project was officially handed over to the allotments sub group, which is   made up of a number of groups including local schools, residents and SYDIC.

  Planning permission has been sought for a shed to go on the plot and the site has   been cleared – fencing has been erected the timber was kindly donated by the local   timber company BSW who are located in Senghenydd.

  Windsor Memorial

  The Windsor Memorial foundations have been laid awaiting the erection of the   monument.  The monument is in remembrance to all the boys and men who died in   the mining disasters at the Windsor   Colliery.  A time capsule will be encased in the   monument with works and memories from the local schools, YMCA and SYDIC.

  The dedication ceremony will be lead by the Rev Stevens and attended by local   residents and guests from various agencies who have helped with the project.
