  Aber Valley Carnival

  The Aber Valley Carnival  was held on the 15th of July 2006 the weather was glorious   sunshine all day.

  HUNDREDS and hundreds of people watched Aber Valley carnival which was said to   be the best event for more than thirty years. Crowds walked the main street in   Senghenydd to watch the shows and see the marching bands.
  Face painting, bouncy castles, wood carving, and a chocolate fountain, were amongst   the many stalls. A rock climbing tower, and a Bucking Bronco, were also on offer to   provide fits of laughter, and a Fun House for the youngsters.


  One of the most popular displays was by the South   Wales Fire Service. A dip in the water was the   outcome for the fire-fighters, as footballs were kicked   and thrown against a target, dunking them.

  As the day moved on, people were actually paying to   be dropped in the large water tank in a bid to escape   the stifling heat. Other displays also included the local Police, Crime prevention, and,   the importance of Recycling waste.
