Aber Valley
 Partnerships and Communities Together.

On the 11th of October '07 a public meeting was held at Senghenydd Community   Centre which was aimed at all agencies being directed by the public as to what   issues / problems in the Valley they would like resolving. The following issues were   selected by those who attended :-

  • Excess speed of traffic on the main roads through all of the Abervalley - at all times.
  • Anti-social behaviour in the area of Abertridwr Park, Library & lanes - every evening.
  • Anti-social behaviour on Commercial Street, Senghenydd - Thursday to Sunday evenings.

It was decided to prioritise these issues for three months.

In order to do this the local agencies and the police need your help to identify offenders  and also to identify any possible solutions to these problems.Police operations will be  conducted in relation to the speeding and anti-social behaviour issues.  If you wish to  report any incidents please call 01633 838111.

If you however have any helpful ideas, solutions or just wish to speak to a local officer  for advice please call either PC 1097 Steve New or PCSO 60 Ian Williams on 029  20857461.

The next PACT Meeting will be held at
6.00pm Thursday  10th January 2008
at the Nazareth Community Centre,Thomas Street, Abertridwr.
