Rio comes to the Aber Valley (Well almost!)

The 2008 Carnival is with us once again with
a special ingredient, NEW volunteers, who   are giving an injection of new ideas to build   upon the success and enjoyment of previous   years. They are a group of dedicated and   committed local people who recognise the   value of community action and have decided   to do something about it. Supported by the   Aber valley Community Festival and the Aber   Valley Community Council this year’s event   will take place amid many restraints.

The day has always represented a spring   board into the rest of the year within the   community. As a fundraising opportunity for   local groups, and an opportunity for friends to   meet, 2008 sees a new layout.  Designated   alcohol  free areas, family friendly areas,   New  refreshment volunteers, alongside the   tested mix of travelling funfair, dog show,   annual gurning competition, stalls, music   and entertainment 2008 will be the start of a   new era in the future of the Carnival. For   information please contact the Aber Valley    Community First Office on 02920 830444 0r   email abervalleycp@tiscalli.co.uk
